how should it be…..?

Hey everyone, HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY

hope all are doing good. so let me tell you a story of a girl. let’s get started….

It was a fine drizzling morning. The sound of the raindrops slipping from the pristine leaves of a tree to the ground was so saccharine to hear.
The very important day in her life had finally arrived. Sara, wake up, her mom was shouting from the hall. The alarm was about to do its play but before that, she got up from the bed. Her morning face was filled with excitement and happiness. she got out of the bed quickly and finished her morning routines. she was getting ready for her day. she opened her closet and took out a beautiful dress and put it on. Within 30 minutes she was ready for her celebration.

Sara and her parents took a cab and reached the venue. she stepped out of the car with full of joy and hope. she straight away went to one of the rooms and wore the prestigious black gown and academic cap. YES, it was her convocation day. She went into the auditorium and settled herself.

The precious moment that she had always dreamt of was started. Her name was called by the professor. She went to the stage and she was honoured by the chief guest.she received the degree certificate, as she touched the certificate, the sense of pride got into her, Her dream of being an independent woman was soon going to be a real fact. as soon as she received the certificate, she ran into her parents with the gold medal on her neck and offer letter in one hand. YES, SHE WAS THE TOPPER OF THE COLLEGE. finally done and dusted. She was living the moment.

she went for the job and everything was going well. now she was living the life that she always dreamt of. She got a promotion. She was earning well. she bought a new shirt for her dad in her own money. she gifted sarees, jewellery to her mom and little things that would be made her parents happy. she did everything she wanted to do for her parents and she also involved in social services. as days passed by, one fine morning she dressed up in her elegant white suit and wore a classy stiletto and got into the car. she was heading to her office. she was busy with her phone. To her opposite side, one black Innova was coming straight towards her car without control.

when she lifted her head to see what was happening, everything went blank in a blink of an eye. she heard someone shouting “wake up”. After five minutes she opened her eyes. she was lying in her bed. the alarm was chirping beside her.

YES, EVERYTHING WAS A DREAM.

she was asked to get ready for the special day which wasn’t a special day for her. because it was her marriage day.

she was a third-year b.tech student. she was devastated as her dream of becoming an engineer was being crushed and thrown away in front of her eyes.she could not do anything about it. The dream of herself being an independent girl had been shattered. they gave fake promises to her that they would allow her to go to college after the marriage. she could not fight back. no one stood by herself.she was destined to do household chores. her dreams remained as dreams forever.

just because she was a girl, her right to education had been snatched away from her. she was devastated as she was seeing her future moving to the zone where she could not do anything on her own. Marriage put a big full stop to her education.

This is not only the story of Sara but many.this was just an example, society is constantly making millions of excuses for girls education. education is not only about job and money. Education gives us knowledge about the world around us. it gives confidence to our souls. it helps us to discover our unique talents. education gives answers to many scientific questions. with the education our lives become great. with education we can solve many health related problems.education is not preparation for life, education is life itself.

I just ask you people (whether you are a boy or a girl) to do one thing, just for a second put yourself in that situation where your basic right to live your life in your way has been brutally snatched from you by the name of marriage . it is tough. all women are suffering from this at some point of time.

some people have asked me why is the marriage a big issue while girls can continue their studies after their marriage. the answer is yes they can. but my question is why they need to get married before they finished their studies. girls are capable of taking care of themselves. firstly Marriage is a part of life, not a life itself. Marriage is not the bad thing but getting married at wrong time could put everything into bad situations.

In India, 39.4 per cent of the adolescent girls in the age group of 15-18 years are not attending any educational institution. Out of the total population of 15-18 year old( out of school) girls, 64.8 % are non-workers In other words, around 65 per cent girls who do not attend any educational institution are either engaged in household activities, are dependents or are engaged in begging etc.https://ncpcr.gov.in/showfile.php?lang=1&level=1&&sublinkid=1357&lid=1558{(I have shortened the passage just to give more focus on girls education). these statistics were taken in the year 2017. this article contains some measures taken by the government to benefits the out of school children.}

This much percentage of girls are not getting proper education in this very 21 st century. this is not at all a joke. This is the high time where we all have to remove the weed of myth and stupidity about women and start to encourage women education.

India, the world’s fastest-growing major economy, could do a lot better if only it treated its women better. The country could add up to $770 billion—more than 18%—to its GDP by 2025, simply by giving equal opportunities to women, according to an April 23 report by the McKinsey Global Institute.https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2018/07/india-could-boost-its-gdp-by-770-billion-by-just-treating-women-better .

Gender ratio of india is 48.20:51.80 female/male. which means half of the population of india is female. society should think about this. As a country we can reach higher levels only by giving equal opportunities to women.

Do you all remember these words “India 2020” and a vision for the new millennium? this could be possible only if you educate your girl children.

every human being in this world have rights to live their life on their terms. women are no exception to this. women were not born to serve men. marriage is not meant to sacrifice women life for the betterment of men’s life.

no one can draw a line of control to anyone.

our world, our country will get in to better standard only when both women and men work together without any gender discrimination.

WOMEN ARE MORE CAPABLE FOR THIS KIND OF WORKS.

DON’T MISTAKEN AND DON’T TAKE WOMEN GRANTED FOR THIS.

I HOPE EVERYTHING WILL CHANGE SOON FOR THE BETTER.

    1. Nice post about women education and her dreams!! I like the part where you mentioned about education is not preparation for life. It helps to find out unique potentials. Simply Don’t impose your family behaviour to women.

Really fascinating about your work kiki. Keep it up!!!:)👏😇
